The breakfasts were very good with fresh fruit, cheese, good coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. All the staff was well-trained.- The location was unbeatable and excellent, really close to an attractive square which was very peaceful.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was fantastic near the Central Station and Burgundy bike trails, making it convenient for joining a Viking river cruise.

Superior room was massive with large king size bed and bed settee sofa. Contemporary design and very clean. Parking on site or in a small car park opposite. Easy to find (follow the signs for the station). Breakfast was very good Dinner in the restaurant was also very good but limited choice which would not suit every one. Staff were excellent. The town is not partularly interesting, but it is about halfway between Nice and Calais which made it perfect for us.

Renovations are still going on and some of the common areas are in the process of being decorated. But this was not a problem.

The hotel was easy to find and provided secure car parking. The bedroom was lovely and clean, with comfortable beds.

Attentive and proactive staff make sure you feel taken care of here. the comfort queen room is nicely furnished, giving off good modern vibes. 🌟

We stayed here as an overnight stop while driving back to Calais. The hotel was very pleasant, with spacious rooms.

New and modern. Immaculate. Steps from the train station. Excellent continental breakfasts with wide selection. Perfect for pre-cruise stay. About 10 minute walk from Quay Gambetta.

I liked the following about the Saint Georges Hotel 1. A senior member of the hotel's management took our bags up to our suite (I was walking with crutches at the time so his help was invaluable). 2. The hotel's car park was well lit and sported security cameras. 3. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the local winelist impressive. 4. The restaurant staff brough our 3 year old daughter's food first so that we could help her with it before our meal arrived. Thoughtful.

The reception area semmed to be undergoing a make-over so wasn't up to the same standards of decor as the rooms/suite/restaurant.

After a long trip (planes & trains), we were exhausted when we arrived at Chalon-sur-Saone. We arrived 2 days before our riverboat cruise began. We were surprised & happy to find the Hotel across the street from the train station - no further transportation required. The room was excellent and very very quiet, just what we needed. Dinner at the Hotel was outstanding. The buffet breakfast was wonderful too.The staff were very helpful & friendly. It was a great way to start a vacation.
